GO-JEK Drivers around Indonesia
These are a few select portraits from a documentary photo portrait series that Highboon Studios did for GO-JEK. Travelled to 6 cities around Indonesia and met these amazing human beings who are GO-JEK drivers as well. One of them was a famous puppeteer and children's storyteller, while another was an ex-debt collector. One is a budding woman entrepreneur, while another risked his own life to save the injured during the Sarinah bombing back in 2016. Each one had an incredible story to tell. I tried to capture the struggle and the jubilation that these ordinary folks have experienced in these black & white images.
